Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The increase in the number of women with a professional activity outside the farm is often analysed as an expression of new gender relations and the emergence of dual career families. The comparative study here of biographies, analysed in relation to the process of transmission of inheritances, in two European regions (Andalusia, Franche-Comté) reveals however the existence of “deviated” but inverse professional trajectories: wage-workers becoming agriculturalists in Franche-Comté and agriculturalists becoming wage-workers in Andalusia. Women’s professional itineraries are thus shown to be intertwined with the family project of preserving inheritance, with a logic in each situation studied. This approach makes it possible to reinterpret the foursome of work/family, man/woman. |
