| Summary, etc. | At the end of the 2000s, the return of the mining appears as part of the solutions to face European industries’ vulnerability to “strategic metals” supplies. This statement comes with a promise of non-reproduction of past ecological errors, guaranteed by more “durable”, “responsible”, and even “green” mining. In France, prospecting licenses supported by industrial and ecological justifications appears, driven by private entrepreneurs. Facing strong local resistances, junior companies incorporate with more or less effectivity ecological critics. However, this appropriation stays superficial, and coexists with discourses of delegitimization of the oppositions. |
