| Summary, etc. | Cet article s’adosse au travail d’un centre d’action médico-social précoce qui prend en charge des enfants dont les parents viennent d’un ailleurs. Face aux retards de développement présentés par les enfants accompagnés, l’institution médico-sociale et les familles peuvent avoir des lectures différentes sur ce qui se passe pour l’enfant. Le recours à l’approche transculturelle permet aux familles d’assurer une double protection de leur enfant, en adhérant aux soins médicaux et psychologiques proposés par l’institution et en mobilisant leurs ressources familiales, culturelles et parfois religieuses à travers des rituels de soins, chacune des deux méthodes ayant pour objectif d’assurer un apaisement de l’enfant et la bonne poursuite de son développement. |
