| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Woman in the First Letter of Paul to the CorinthiansIs it necessary to challenge the Pauline vision of woman taken from his judgment expressed in the First Letter to the Corinthians ? The author reviews some interpretations and examines 1 Cor 11,2-16 and 14,33b-36, where Paul tries to find a right path between libertinism and rigour arising from an extreme case which created a scandal in the community. The article is followed by 2 appendices taking up the recent history of exegesis and the translation of exousia, and providing some bibliographical indications. |
