Pour autant, de nombreuses naissances dans les favelas ne sont pas planifiées. Tiraillé entre le discours social prônant un contrôle de soi de plus en plus prononcé, et des grossesses effectives non planifiées, le désir d’enfant est à la fois source d’angoisse et de joie. Il renforce le sentiment d’imprévisibilité, et résiste aux injonctions de contrôle de plus en plus pressantes. |

Torn between a social discourse advocating more and more self-control and unplanned pregnancies, the desire for a child is both a source of anxiety and joy. It increases the feeling of unpredictability, and resists the more and more pressing orders of control. |
