C’est avec ces mots que Audre Lorde nous encourage à prendre la parole, à ne pas succomber à la peur quand nous allons à contre-courant. Cette invitation résonne aujourd’hui au sein de nos universités. Depuis le 7 octobre 2023, prendre la parole pour parler de Gaza et de la Palestine est devenu un enjeu en soi. Dans cet article nous allons chercher à réfléchir sur la difficulté à se mobiliser collectivement de la part des universitaires. À l’aide des observations de terrain et à travers une approche intersectionnelle et décoloniale, nous chercherons à comprendre la raison d’une désertion collective, d’un corps individuel qui n’est pas arrivé à se transformer en corps collectif en France et ailleurs. |

| Summary, etc. | “We were taught that silence would save us, but it’s a lie”. It is with these words that the poet Audre Lorde encourages us to speak out, not to succumb to fear when we go against the current. This invitation resonates today within our universities. Since October 7, 2023, speaking out about Gaza and Palestine has become a challenge in itself. In this article, we will seek to reflect on the difficulty for academics to mobilize collectively. Using field observations and through an intersectional and decolonial approach, we will try to understand the reason for a collective desertion, of an individual body that has not managed to transform into a collective body in France and elsewhere. |
