| Summary, etc. | Vivre avec une ambiguïté sexuelle constitue un poids à la fois social et psychologique énorme en milieu Bariba au Bénin où la culture place l’homme au dessus de la femme. Zénabou de sexe masculin génétiquement, mais précocement baptisé fille par une erreur d’appréciation clinique de son sexe à la naissance, s’emploie à son corps défendant pour réparer cette erreur initiale et réintégrer son univers psychosocial. Les circonstances de prise de contact avec lui, son vécu psychosocial et le poids du regard de la communauté sont les éléments rapportés par les auteurs dans ce travail. Ce cas de pseudohermaphrodisme masculin suggère la nécessité d’une déclaration différée du sexe à l’état civil. Ce qui éviterait les erreurs diagnostiques particulièrement préjudiciables pour l’acquisition d’une identité psychosexuelle stable par de tels enfants / adolescents. |
