520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Students are encouraged to think of international experience as an essential component of their education and study abroad participation is indeed increasing. After an overview of many programs, Anderson et al. (2006) found that study abroad offices across the United States have four main objectives for their students: 1) academic or intellectual advances, 2) increased intercultural sensitivity, 3) personal goals, and 4) professional benefits. This integrated research review assesses the literature available on these four objectives within the scope of a consistent and recent study abroad trend: the increase in short-term program participation. |
