520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Don Quixote in the analyst’s office The author tells us how a character such as Don Quixote suddenly appeared between his patient and himself during an analytic session. From there, he begins to reflect on the ethics of the analyst, which, for him, lies first in being emotionally open and welcoming of the symbolic life as it is. But it secondly consists with our freeing ourselves from our dearest attachments and in so doing recognizing old pains and grief too long repressed. Finally, it will consist in finding out the best possible form and expression of what has not yet been experienced, acknowledged and realized so far. |
