Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | To pick up unexploited resources of a patient and his family circle in order to stimulate resilience in a person plunged into grief. This was studied by a social worker through a questionnaire passed to other health carers and with a case analysis using the “Casita”, a house inspired from the pyramid of Maslow. The author shows how valuable is the concept of resilience within a hospital and how useful it can be to the problematics of death in the elderly. Three professional perspectives are identified to favour resilience and to develop new strategies. In palliative care, the social worker could help the relationships between patients, family circle and caring team using resilience as a common denominator. |
