Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Obesity : towards a new drift ?Obesity has now become a major concern for public health. Its orientation has things in common with the eradication of a new evil nowadays. The word « obesity » itself indistinctly refers to obesities closely related to biological dysfunctions, but also those which are related to a food problematic. Specialized medicine is confronted to various requests, but only offers bariatric surgery as a response. On the base of these movements peculiar to the doctor patient relation, this type of intervention seems to produce subjective effects, and triggers a speech where factors in relation with a food problematic appear. The goal is to illustrate this problematic through the clinic, and grab the issues that are related to some of these situations. In the end, this question deals with ethics. Indeed, such practice working on the real of the body, even if it does or not have a subjective effect, is used for obesity without consistently taking the measure of the very different realities that are hidden. |
