Without prejudice to their possible inclusion in the Freudian dispositive, which is no more or less contingent for them than for any other, I will raise here the preliminary question of their substance as speech acts. Isn’t clarifying what they are, in their linguistic materiality, a necessary prerequisite for any decision about what, if anything, will be interpreted from them? |
