520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The author starts by summarizing what is currently known about Conduct Disorder. For her, the key symptom of this disorder is the youth’s inability to care about the rights of others. This inability is directly connectable to the degree of exploitation that the child has experienced while growing up, or in other words, to the degree of parentification that he or she has experienced in his or her youth. Parentification and the destructive entitlement that result from it, are very significant determinants in the emergence of a conduct disorder or in its transmission over the next generation, before an invisible loyalty or other factors. Hence, contextual therapy should have an important place in the treatment of this trouble and in its preventions since the goal of this approach is a remobilization of peoples’ capacity to care about others, using multidirected partiality as a method. |
