| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | This article considers the contribution of the non-human environment to psychological well-being in the context of relational dynamics. We live in contact with nature and adopt an ambivalent attitude towards it: we are caught up in the desire for connection and total union, but also in the fear of losing our human status. We can feel part of nature and at the same time delude ourselves into thinking that we are separated from it by specific human characteristics; this leads us to seek a balance between two poles – fusion and separation – that is difficult to integrate. In addressing this subject, which crosses the life cycle, we’ll refer to the relationship with dogs and their presence within the human family, and illustrate our point with clinical cases. |
