Ils sont essentiellement émis par les cités, à partir de l’époque séleucide, et constituent une importante source d’information, tant par leur iconographie que par leurs inscriptions. Les poids civiques qui disparaissent presque partout au IVe siècle p. C. se maintiennent exceptionnellement à l’époque protobyzantine dans quelques cités comme Tyr. |

Mainly produced by poleis, from the times of the Seleucid rule, these objects offer important information thanks to their iconography and inscriptions. City weights disappear nearly everywhere during rhe fourth century, with a few exceptions in the early Byzantine period, for exemple in Tyre. |
