Une approche historique, privilégiant une périodisation stricte et des facteurs circonstanciels, pencherait vers le oui, à la manière de la satire qui en 1792 oppose trois Lamourette. Les textes publiés avant et après les événements font apparaître d’évidents indices de continuité : Lamourette ne cesse de réfléchir sur un possible rapprochement entre les deux bords du monde intellectuel, sur une possible conciliation entre clercs et philosophes, et plus largement sur le lien entre religion et philosophie, faisant de la Révolution le pivot d’une pensée intégratrice, pensée qu’il n’a fait cependant qu’esquisser. |
