Summary, etc. | RÉSUMÉ La réhabilitation relativement récente de la Langue des Signes Française comme système linguistique à part entière se traduit par de timides évolutions dans l’éducation des enfants sourds. Pourtant, une orientation pédagogique bilingue (langue française - langue des signes) est un choix reconnu aux parents depuis 1991, il ne s’agit donc pas d’une voie éducative nouvelle. Cette contribution a pour objectif d’interroger la situation actuelle et de l’inscrire dans une réflexion diachronique. Au regard de celle-ci, sa finalité est de dégager des perspectives éducatives qui prennent en compte les besoins des enfants sourds, dans le cadre d’une École inclusive, lieu d’équilibre entre universalité et singularités. |

Summary, etc. | Deaf children at school in France : promoting a bilingual project. The quite recent rehabilitation of French Sign Language as a full linguistic system leads to limited evolutions in the teaching of deaf children. The possibility for parents to choose a bilingual teaching (French/French sign language) is recognized by French laws since 1991, it is therefore not a real new educational way. This paper is not intended to rewrite History, but aims at questioning the present situation and to set it inside a diachronic reflection. In this respect, its goal is to draw up educational prospects that take into account the needs of deaf children within the framework of an « Inclusive school », a place where universality and peculiarities are equally balanced. |
