Enfin, l’identification aux personnages principaux du livre de chevet concerne, pour un personnage du même genre que soi, à la fois des lectrices et des lecteurs – alors que la transgression identificatoire de genre concerne plutôt les lectrices que les lecteurs. |

Gendered practices can be observed in relation to these very favorite books, first when they are chosen, but also when they provide emotiions, a fact that can be assumed or denied. The identification process of the readers to the main character of the book frequently concerns that which is of the same gender as the reader. Still, more occasionally the election process can take the form of a gender transgression, but this concerns women rather than men, thus revealing the genderd processes. |
