| Summary, etc. | L’argument principal qui est développé dans ce texte veut rapprocher la maturité tardive de l’être humain, ce qui s’appelle « néoténie », du travail de fond de la pulsion de mort qui va dans le même sens et œuvre à rebours de l’autonomie ; à rebours aussi du travail de séparation intrapsychique qui s’accomplit grâce à l’analyse. Pour contrer la pulsion de mort, l’analyste doit veiller avec un tact sans égal à la technique qu’il met en œuvre. Outre le tact, c’est la rigueur avec laquelle il dirige la cure qui est indispensable. Cette rigueur éclaire ce qu’est la psychanalyse et en particulier sa dissidence. |

In order to counteract the death drive, a psychoanalyst must use considerable tact in technique. In addition, the precision with which he directs the cure is essential.
