| Summary, etc. | L’histoire militaire de la guerre d’Algérie montre une réalité : la difficulté du commandement à s’adapter à un monde de conflit nouveau : la guérilla et le terrorisme. Il fallut, à ces fins, modifier les structures de l’armée et ses conceptions tactiques. Les effectifs augmentèrent de façon importante et on changea de stratégie en insistant sur le quadrillage. Salan durcit l’effort militaire, car face à la guérilla, il fallait une guerre subversive. |
