| Summary, etc. | Several recent studies have shown that immunotherapy in combination with fluoropyrimidine/platinum chemotherapy or other immunotherapy can reduce the risk of death in patients with advanced oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma, as compared to standard treatment with chemotherapy plus placebo. A Marketing Authorisation has been granted by the European Medicines Agency for the use of nivolumab and ipilimumab (combined with nivolumab) in patients with tumours expressing PDL1 (TPS ≥ 1). Also, a Marketing Authorisation has been granted to pembrolizumab combined with chemotherapy in patients with PDL1-expressing tumours with a CPS ≥ 10. In France, only access to pembrolizumab or nivolumab is currently funded. |

| Summary, etc. | Plusieurs études récentes ont montré qu’une immunothérapie associée à une chimiothérapie associant une fluoropyrimidine à un sel de platine ou à une autre immunothérapie pouvait réduire le risque de décès de patients porteurs de cancers épidermoïdes avancés de l’œsophage, par rapport à la chimiothérapie associée à un placebo. Une Autorisation de Mise sur le Marché (AMM) a été accordée par l’Agence Européenne du Médicament (AEM) pour l’usage du nivolumab, de l’ipilimumab (associé au nivolumab) chez les patients dont la tumeur exprime PDL1 (TPS ≥ 1). Il en est de même du pembrolizumab associé à la chimiothérapie chez les patients dont la tumeur exprime PDL1 avec un CPS ≥ 10. Seuls le pembrolizumab et le nivolumab se trouvent aujourd’hui financés en France, en association avec la chimiothérapie, dans le traitement de première ligne des cancers épidermoïdes de l’œsophage avancés. |
