520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The pandemic has seen a return of closed borders within the European Union, in order to prevent people infected with COVID-19 from entering or leaving a national territory and thus increasing the risk of spreading the virus. Borders thus play the role of an intersection between the EU and its member states. They persist in the EU and are not merely an obstacle to be removed. Are they a new factor of incommunicability that can jeopardize the very foundations of integration?
