| Summary, etc. | Vous en conviendrez, la peinture est d’abord une affaire pour les yeux. Par une gestation complexe, elle naît de l’imaginaire et demande à être regardée, plus encore quand elle accueille un nu. Seulement cela ne se fait pas sans un jeu de voile et d’opacité : les mises en scènes du mythe, les symboles, le filtre pictural mettent à distance quelque chose qui par son outrance doit rester caché et qui pourtant ne demande qu’à jaillir : la pulsion scopique. Le corps peint et la toile deviennent sous nos yeux des métaphores réciproques qu’il convient de saisir au vol et qui, par l’érotique du motif, mettent notre regard à l’épreuve de lui-même. |

Through complex gestation, it is born from the imaginary and requires to be watched, even more so when it welcomes a nude. However, this does not happen without playing with veils and opacity: the stages of the myth, the symbols, the filter of the picture, all establish distance with something excessive that should remain hidden and still begs to spring out: the scopic impulse. The painted body and the canvas become under our eye reciprocal metaphors to catch as they fly by and which, through the erotism of the subject, challenge our vision itself. |

| Summary, etc. | Ne converrete, la pittura è prima un affare per gli occhi. Con una gestione complessa, nasce dall’immaginario e chiede di essere guardata, ancora di più quando accoglie un nudo. Ma tale operazione non si fa senza un gioco di veli e di opacità; le messinscene del mito, i simboli, il filtro pitturale, mettono a distanza qualcosa di eccessivo che deve rimanere nascosto e però non chiede altro che scaturire: la pulsione scopica. Il corpo dipinto e la tela diventano sotto i nostri occhi metafore reciproche che bisogna acchiappare al volo e che, con l’erotico del motivo, mettono il nostro sguardo alla prova di se stesso. |
