Summary, etc. Codes JEL : B30, 031, L25, L26 |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The persistence of small enterprises: test analysis using the theories of the firm and of the entrepreneurWhat have been the rule and the place of small enterprises in industrialized countries since the late 19th century? Are they a relic of the past, an area of innovation or are they an opportunity of employment in a period of high unemployment? Political economy became a science in the late 18th century by demonstrating the benefits of mass production (theory of pin factory by Adam Smith). However, according to Rosa Luxemburg, an economy only made of big enterprises has never existed and will never exist. The aim of this paper is to analyze these questions from the theories of the firm and of the entrepreneur. JEL codes: B30, 031, L25, L26 |
