Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | In front of the corpse of the speaking subjectThe social effectiveness of confrontation with death of a human being is well-known to anthropologists and sociologists. But what about the symbolic effectiveness of confrontation of the speaking subject with the corpse ? Considering this from a Lacanian point of view, can the funerary rituality be regarded as an attempt to signify, in the symbolic order, the blanc which death introduces into the life of language ? Does it constitute an original signifiant ?Does thinking funerary rituality starting from the figure of Antigone represent a significant symbolic reason in the field of contemporary psychoanalytical anthropology ? These questions should make it possible to think aswell as to soothe the suffering, alas on a broad scale, generated by the innumerable corpses left without burial in the course of History. |

Summary, etc. |
