520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Nostalgia : dream or nightmare ?The word “nostalgia” is originally a medical word. From 1688 to the end of the 19th century, it designated a major and lethal depression, caused by homesickness. This definition of nostalgia, of course, does not respond to the criteria of contemporary science any more, but it continues to be experienced by exiled people. The dream can be considered as an exile that sometimes turns into a nightmare. Charlotte Beradt collected the dreams of internally displaced during the Third Reich. Through the analysis of these dreams, the author questions the relation between the ancient concept of nostalgia and modern psychoanalysis.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
