| Summary, etc. | L’article aborde la question de “l’événement sémantique” à partir de l’exemple de l’évolution sémantique de la locution à la turque du XVIe siècle jusqu’à la moitié du XIXe siècle. S’appuyant sur les concepts de reclassification et de recatégorisation (voir G. Achard-Bayle 2001), il cherche à articuler une approche référentialiste – pour laquelle les changements du réel historique ont une influence sur l’évolution sémantique – avec une approche discursive, soucieuse de la matérialité de la langue et des genres de discours. Il s’interroge également sur la relation de la notion d’“événement sémantique” avec la notion d’hyperlangue présentée dans Auroux 1997. |

| Summary, etc. | The evolution of the expression "à la turque" Rethinking the "semantic event" This article reconsiders the concept of "semantic event" by examining the evolution of the French expression "à la turque" as it has been used from the 16th to the first half of the 19th century. Taking off from the concepts of "reclassification" and "recategorisation" (G. Achard-Bayle 2001), the author tries to reconcile a referential approach to meaning - based on the influence of reality on semantic evolutions - and a discursive approach based on the materiality of language and on the type of discourse implied. The author also examines the relationship between the semantic event and the concept of "hyperlanguage" (Auroux 1997). |
