| Summary, etc. | Cet article explore l’étonnante réception de la coproduction germano-franquiste Carmen, la de Triana de Florián Rey en Grèce entre 1938 et 1940. Il s’agit de décrire plusieurs processus de négociation culturelle suscités par les appropriations locales du film – et plus spécifiquement du personnage de Carmen tel qu’incarné à l’écran par Imperio Argentina ainsi que du répertoire musical du film qu’elle entonne – à Thessalonique et Athènes. Par cette étude attentive aux circulations transnationales et aux transferts culturels, l’enjeu est ainsi de proposer une première contribution – venant nourrir un plus vaste projet couvrant la première moitié du xxe siècle – sur le maillage de relations intra et intercommunautaires qui se forgent autour du spectacle cinématographique à Thessalonique, territoire en voie d’hellénisation. La ville est ici confrontée à Athènes, culturellement dominante à l’échelle nationale, quoique elle-même soumise aux importations de produits médiatiques de l’étranger et scindée par des clivages sociaux. |

| Summary, etc. | This article explores the unexpected reception of Florián Rey’s German-Francoist coproduction Carmen, la de Triana in Greece between 1938 and 1940. It aims to describe several processes of cultural negotiation brought about by the local appropriations of the film – and more specifically of the character of Carmen, as embodied on screen by Imperio Argentina, as well as of the musical repertoire that she sings in the film – in Thessaloniki and Athens. This study, which is attentive to transnational circulations and cultural transfers, is a first contribution – part of a larger project covering the first half of the twentieth century – on the meshing of intra- and inter-community relations forged around cinema-going in Thessaloniki, a territory in the process of Hellenization. The city is confronted with Athens, culturally dominant on a national scale, although itself subject to social divisions and to the importation of media products from abroad. |

Descrive i diversi processi di negoziato culturale suscitati dalle appropriazioni locali del film – e più specificatamente del personaggio di Carmen, così come è incarnato sullo schermo da Imperio Argentina e dal repertorio musicale del film da lei cantato – a Salonicco e ad Atene. Attraverso questo studio, attento alle circolazioni transnazionali e ai transfert culturali, viene proposto un primo contributo – destinano a un più vasto progetto che copra la prima metà del XX secolo – sulla rete di relazioni intra e intercomunitarie che prendono corpo intorno allo spettacolo cinematografico a Salonicco, territorio in via di ellenizzazione. La città è qui messa a confronto con Atene, culturalmente dominante su scala nazionale, benché essa stessa sottomessa all’importazione di prodotti mediatici dall’estero e divisa dai divari sociali. |
