Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | This interview with Jeff M. Smith (director of Asian security programs at the American Foreign Policy Council) will discuss about India-China relationships in the context of Donald Trump presidency. According to Jeff M. Smith, the U.S. and India will continue to strengthen ties because their national security and foreign policy interests remain complementary and congruent, including shared concerns over Pakistan-based terrorism and Chinese adventurism. Moreover, the fact that India has omitted One China Policy recognition from every joint statement with China, insisting that China must first recognize a “One India” principle, without incurring punishment from Beijing could suggest that there is more room open to discuss this policy that usually believed. |
