Lorsqu’au tournant du xxe siècle, les militaires français pénètrent dans ces régions, se noue, entre ces nouveaux venus et les souverains locaux, un dialogue épistolaire selon les termes des pratiques diplomatiques locales, c’est-à-dire en langue arabe et dans un environnement intellectuel marqué par la culture islamique. |
