| Summary, etc. | AbstractsThe judicial setting is traditionally considered as the place par excellence of legal syllogism through which a legal rule is applied to facts as presented to the judge. Whereas the philosophical critique of this way of considering the judicial activity is already achieved, the inquiry into the practical modes of production of legal reasoning remains largely ignored. This contribution examines how legal characterization and categorizations, what can be called the judicial syllogism in action, are negotiated in an Egyptian case of homosexuality. |
