520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The purpose of this article is to examine how the poststructuralist approach to analyzing the discursive underpinnings of the institutional and pedagogical practices in the field of disability, learning difficulties, educational integration and inclusive education can be relevant to the specific series of discourses about the education of young deaf people. After identifying the conditions under which the collision of certain forms of discourse lead to conceptual fissions and hybridation of “fields of objects“, the author seeks to show how, at the crossroads between medical-social discourses on deafness and social-anthropological discourses, a whole range of hybrid institutional discourses has developed. These institutional discourses borrow elements from medicine, pedagogy, and socio-linguistics, and they are marked by the figure of denial. |
