520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | In Mauritania, government recommendations are in line with cross-national policies on infant and young child feeding. Awareness networks federated by NGOs convey messages on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) in order to contribute reducing child malnutrition. However, these messages, aimed mainly at pregnant women and young mothers, do not reach family members equally. This article proposes to study the roles of grandmothers, fathers and community health workers in child feeding, by analyzing the negotiations between these different members of the entourage whose views on the child’s well-being are divergent. |
