Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | Three researchers discuss the article, published in Questions de communication (3, 2003), that Gilles Gauthier devoted to constructivism ; he disputed there the obviousness which seems to surround today the use of this concept in the social sciences. Refuting some of these criticisms, Roger Bautier, Denis Benoit and Roselyne Koren draw their argumentation from the sources of the history of the ideas and from the history of the social forces. Thus they reintroduce scientificity with regard to a concept which tends to becoming a portemanteau word. With this intention, they avoid two pitfalls which would have been the adoption of a « whole constructivism » or the complete rejection of this last. With the reading of their contributions, the constructivism seems an obliged passage of the contemporary thought, with the proviso of resisting temptation to standardize the contributions of this concept. |
