520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The significant exposure of public health during the Covid-19 pandemic has made it possible to observe that for political and health decision-makers, it remains governed by regulatory and functionalist logics, on the contrary to democratic values and in ignorance of paradigms and knowledge produced by the social sciences. The category of “social acceptability” is the wording of this and one of the symbolic tools of institutional communication. The paper develops the thesis that this phenomenon is characteristic of the contingencies and contradictions of public health as a field of public action but also as a field of knowledge production. |
