L’idéal du moi, apparenté à la sublimation, correspond à la première identification qui se fait à la mère dans un mouvement narcissique ; c’est d’ailleurs son absence qui induit le désir de savoir afin de la retrouver. La sublimation est un constituant essentiel, universel et fondamental de l’organisation psychique. |

Through it, sublimation determines development. The ego ideal, connected to sublimation, corresponds to the first identification made to the mother in a narcissistic move ; indeed it is its absence that induces the desire to know in order to find it again. Sublimation is an essential, universal and fundemental constituent of psychic organisation. |
