| Summary, etc. | Au-delà de l’idéalisation du moi et de l’objet, l’amour maniaque concerne un type particulier d’investissement de la relation entre eux. Celui-ci semble obéir au même mouvement de rebroussement narcissique que la mélancolie, à la fois symétrique et inversé : il n’y pas de renoncement, mais une compulsion active qui répète, dans des configurations démultipliées et éparses, le même refus de la déception, le même agrippement narcissique marqué par l’élation et l’excès de liaison. L’amour maniaque, dans le transfert, réveille la colère contre l’objet, convoque les attaques narcissiques et la cruauté des figures parentales et des instances qu’elles génèrent en assurant le triomphe du moi et la toute-puissance de ses liens à l’objet. |

| Summary, etc. | Beyond the idealisation of the ego and the object, manic love concerns a particular type of cathexis of the relationship between them. This seems to conform to the same impulse of narcissistic retreat as melancholia, both symmetrical and reversed: instead of renunciation, there is an active compulsion that repeats, in multiplied random configurations, the same rejection of disappointment and the same narcissistic grasping characterised by elation and an excessive connection. In the transference, manic love arouses anger towards the object, summons the narcissistic attacks and cruelty of the parental figures and the agencies they generate while ensuring the triumph of the ego and the omnipotence of its object relationships. |
