| Summary, etc. |

| Summary, etc. | A prose poem entitled Deploratio super civitatem aut regionem que gladium evaginavit super se hides in a miscellany of devotional texts copied out in England for Charles d’Orléans. Among the few literary texts devoted to the massacres which followed the capture of Paris by the Burgundian troops (May-June 1418), we find some poems by Gerson offering so many similarities to the Deploratio that one could hardly ascribe this work to another author. Yet, this had to remain an assumption until the model copied by the English scribe was discovered in the Vatican library. |

| Summary, etc. |
