520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The syntagma of Trinitarian ontology appears in the contemporary period in the writings of theologians such as Theodor Haecker or Clemens Kaliba, and later in the manifesto of Trinitarian ontology by Klaus Hemmerle. Neither Hans Urs von Balthasar nor Karl Rahner assume it, although both have promoted what is undeniably an ontology “guided by the message of faith”, “general ontology” and “symbolic” for Rahner, “Trinitarian meaning of the being of the world” for Balthasar. This partition will give rise to one of the most famous controversies of the twentieth century about ontology and its functions in systematic theology. Vincent Holzer’s study, L’ambivalence de l’ontologie trinitaire, is entirely devoted to this modern and contemporary segment of Trinitarian ontology. It analyses the assumptions and the fundamental data of Trinitarian ontology, while questioning them in a critical and prospective way.
