520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. In a poem that reworks the traditional sapiential topic of the pursuit of wisdom (Wis 6,12-16), the author of the Wisdom of Solomon writes : “Whoso seeks her early shall have no great travail : for he shall find her sitting at his doors” (6,14). Thanks to wisdom’s initiative, the pursuit is most easy and succeeds almost immediately. By investigating the complex structure of the poem, this study aims to show how the author tries to articulate this “forestalling” with man’s own initiative and how, by means of a syntactic, morphological and lexical ambiguity, he manages to present the relationship between God and man as the fruit of a delicate balance between asymmetry and complementarity.
