Alors que les débats autour de la mort se polarisaient entre expropriation et réappropriation, l’apport de moralistes chrétiens a contribué à ouvrir une voie de réintégration de la mort dans la vie. Aujourd’hui, alors que le contexte de pandémie surexpose la mort tout en confrontant à nouveau violemment le sujet singulier à la disparition du mort, la réflexion éthique est sollicitée à partir de ses ressources propres. De la « mort dérobée », elle recueille la détresse de l’expression pour y discerner une quête d’humanisation en termes d’acceptation de la mort. |
