520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The masterpiece of Marcel Proust should be understood as: In search of lost reality. Because it is not so much the past that we lack but the present. It is the experience as it takes place that is missed. So it takes the work of writing (the metaphor and the “miracle of analogy”) to reclaim what should be obvious. And the sentence: “real life is literature” must be understood: only the detour through literature will give us the chance to live. |
