520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The concept of recognition, coined by Axel Honneth in the 1990s, is now widely accepted within the empirical sciences that focus on the world of work. But the gradual shift from the normative centrality of social struggles to the normative centrality of institutions, namely the capitalist labor market, that we observe in Honneth’s theoretical evolution, casts a doubt on the critical potential of the recognition paradigm. This article aims to examine the limits of the model of recognition developed by Honneth in Freedom’s Right. It also discusses the adjustments made to this model by Hans-Christophe Schmidt am Busch in his recent essay What do we expect from work ? |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
