Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | This contribution takes note of the anthropogenic alteration of the Earth system. It raises the question about the type of citizenship that should inform our thinking about political education in the Anthropocene. After discussing Daniel Curnier’s thesis about a citizenship education that is critical of neoliberal schooling, we explore Christian Arnsperger’s figure of the existential citizen. These two first sections then allow us to question the work of the German philosopher and biologist Andreas Weber and his theory of being, understood as a sharing between humans and non-humans. We then propose the idea of a convivialist citizenship characterized by coexistence with these other earthlings, the non-humans. |
