| Summary, etc. | La prétention de l’homme à vouloir s’affranchir de ses limites naturelles, et ses dérives, ont souvent été mises en scènes, depuis l’Antiquité, pour être dénoncées. Or, la modernité se confond avec un « système technicien », tel que le décrit Jacques Ellul, qui tend à devenir englobant, c’est-à-dire à trouver en lui-même les ressorts de son accroissement, et à interdire progressivement la remise en cause des « solutions » techniques ainsi générées. Sous la promesse sans cesse renouvelée d’autonomie, la technique cache peut-être la réalité d’une hétéronomie plus essentielle, car touchant à la manière-même qu’a l’homme de concevoir la réalité et ses problèmes. |
