Political communications consultancy in Tunisia: Professionalization put to the test by the “democratic transition”

It studies the professional socialization of consultants and, in turn, the professionalization process of political communication in Tunisia amid the country’s “democratic transition.” How can political communication activity in Tunisia become institutionalized and professionalized in such an unstable context? The results presented here were obtained through an interview campaign conducted with political communication consultants. The respondents were asked about their personal trajectories, their professional practices in political communication, their perception of political communication in Tunisia, and the degree to which their work has become professionalized.
