Competence and dyslexia in organizations: Specific thought patterns for the development of idiosyncratic competence

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2025. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The consideration of this invisible disability in organizations shows that it is still poorly understood, as it poses problems in assessing profiles during recruitment phases. The aim of this article is to present dyslexia from the angle of competences and to understand how these are developed. Neurologists have demonstrated that dyslexics have a different neurological configuration in which certain parts of the brain are deficient, while others are more developed by compensation, offering specific competences. This research was carried out using the epistemology of autoethnography to create the interview guide and the methodology of storytelling to present the data. We analyzed the data using the concept of patterns to explain the process by which these competences are developed. Our initial research results show that dyslexics develop idiosyncratic competences such as systemic competence.
