Is There Original Gesture Development in Young Children with Down Syndrome?
Type de matériel :

While ample research has been done on the gestures of non-handicapped children, little has been conducted on the gestures of children with Down syndrome. This paper notes that, in certain institutions, Down syndrome children receive gesture training to improve their verbal production. However, gesture development is not well defined in this population. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the gesture development of Down syndrome children who did not have gesture training. The sample of this study included children with Down syndrome and non-handicapped children with developmental ages ranging from 4 to 24 months.
