Managerial reforms and redefining public action categories: The example of the medico-social Sector

It starts by discussing the difficulty of identifying the medico-social sector specifically, then turns to three potential scenarios for its future: A considerable reduction in autonomy, a major rapprochement with the healthcare sector, and the affirmation of its autonomy by means of the ongoing construction of an endogenous discourse. Each scenario is based on an analysis of recent trends in medico-social policy.
