This paper aims to study the relationship between a toxic organizational climate, silence, and employee performance in the Moroccan automotive industry. Our findings, derived from a survey conducted on a sample of 234 automotive sector employees using the structural equation method under the PLS approach, show that workplace harassment has a range of effects on silence, while marginalization has no significant effect. Moreover, defensive and ineffective silence adversely affects employee performance, whereas relational silence yields positive outcomes. These results offer substantial theoretical and practical insights and implications for future research.
